Lindholme Lakes - Loco Lake. This
is a large 5 acre lake which gets
its name from the fact that there
is a train locomotive still in the
bottom of the lake when it got stranded
there when the water levels rose during
excavation work in the 1850’s.
The only feature on the lake is a
small stump of land in the centre
of the lake. There are 50 pegs on
the lake with depths ranging from
4ft to 10ft.
