Tony has been pole fishing with Jan Porter

How do you think Tony felt when he got a call from the editor of Total Coarse Fishing to tell him he had won the 'Jan'll Fix it' competition & a day out fishing with Jan Porter ?!..Well you can read what Tony(Darlo toe) had to say about it & make your own mind up.

Tony said 'So today was the day my pole problems were lied bare. We met at 10.30 at Lindholme lakes near Doncaster the sun was out & the temperature was starting to rise after an early morning frost.
Jan told me to set my gear up & start fishing & he would do the same & then check to see were i was going wrong. I set my gear up checking everything what seemed like a 100 times & soon i was fishing. After about 30mins Jan asked had i caught anything & i said no not even a bite, he must of thought he had a right numpty on his hands but soon things started to look up & i hooked my first fish, a mirror just over 2lbs. Steve the deputy editor (& also the camera man) came over to take a pic & then it was soon in the net, phwee what a relief i wasnt going to blank Jan was still setting up so i carried on fishing. Within minutes i was in again this time a F1 carp i took my time & it was safely landed. Steve was back over again to check on what id caught, I looked over at Jan & this time he was ready to fish, the rest of the day i caught slowly but steady building a good net of fish, Jan`s peg was slow but i`d heard some splashing so knew he had some fish.....'
